The members of Uttar Dinajpur People For Animals rescued one adult female monkey today i.e. on 23 March,2016 from Tulsitala, Raiganj. The monkey was lying ill for two days on the roof of the second floor of Late Pradip Singh’s house. The local councillor Mr Sadhu Barman saw the ailing monkey and called the office of the Uttar Dinajpur PFA. Then a team of PFA members led by Goutam Tantia reached there and rescued the monkey. The local people informed that the monkey didn’t eat anything for some days. After rescue we found that the monkey had fever. It was at once taken to Kulik Forest and handed over to the Forest Dept officials. Vet Hospital being closed on the day of holi the monkey was treated by the members of Uttar Dinajpur PFA on the suggestion and prescription of a vet surgeon. We hope that the monkey will recover soon. The monkey could have died without treatment had it not been rescued by us. We thank Mr Sadhu Barman for informing us about the ailing monkey.
